Press Release: Startup Business Festival Symposium

Startup Business Festival Hosts its First 4-day Symposium event that seeks to make entrepreneurship fashionable and attainable for African Startups.

More than half of the continent’s population will be in Africa by 2050 and this means that Africa needs more entrepreneurs than ever before to be able to create job opportunities. Making entrepreneurship fashionable and attainable is the Startup Business Festical technique to make innovative business models to keep up with the population growth.

The Startup Business Festival has announced its first annual symposium event that will take place from the 18th to 22nd of September 2023. The event is a build-up to the Startup Business Festival, a business ecosystem event dedicated to pushing the boundaries and shining a light on all things entrepreneurship. The symposium will be a four day event that will be focusing on tech entrepreneurship in the environmental, financial, social as well as the creative & cultural sector.

This year’s theme is “Resilience and Launch Fest”. It is highly imperative that entrepreneurs build resilience in their businesses so that they can thrive. Launch Fest is about building back better, we need to build back a better economy collectively and design the Africa we want. For this reason, we will arrange tools and the know-how that entrepreneurs require to build resilience startups. The event seeks to build a community that consists of entrepreneurs, investors, community leaders, captains of industry, as well as thought and practice leaders who are committed to fostering a ripe environment for entrepreneurial activity.

It will be a virtual event that will feature panel discussions, presentations, activations, showcases, exhibitions, launches, live performance and so much more. The symposium will be playing a role in driving economic sustainability together with the festival which will be in November. It is imperative that we build a living Pan-African entrepreneurial ecosystem and achieving this can be done through collaboration and making sure that entrepreneurship is fashionable and attainable.

The symposium is in collaboration with the Startup Business Campus, Eagles Ring Investment platform, Imvelisi, Young Social Entrepreneurs Network and the Fintech Startup Accelerator programme. The Startup Business Festival is also open for collaboration and sponsorship for the symposium in September and the festival in November.
